Prayer

Prayer

At Grace Harbor, we are a people devoted to prayer (Acts 2:42; Rom.12:12).

Why We Pray

Jesus makes it clear through his parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, that we “ought always to pray and not lose heart.” This seems to be in alignment with many other passages on prayer elsewhere in the Bible. We are to “pray at all times in the Spirit,” “making supplication for all the saints” (Eph. 6:18-20); to “be constant in prayer” (Rom. 12:12); to “not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God” (Phil. 4:6); to “continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving” (Col. 4:2); to “seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually” (1 Chron. 16:11).

When We Pray

  • Before our Sunday Gathering, we’re praying from 9:30-9:45a. We’d love for you to join us.

  • During our Sunday Gathering, we pray with and for each other, our community, and the world.

  • After our Sunday Gathering, you can snag our pastor or anybody calling Grace Harbor home. We’d love to pray with you.

  • Every quarter, we host All Church Prayer gatherings. We get together for a time of guided prayer.
